How to make your child's words unforgettable

The UnforgettableWords.com Promise to Homeschoolers

UnforgettableWords.com offers a revolutionary new vocabulary learning program that will not let your child forget the words they have learned. Instead, your child’s vocabulary will only grow and grow, week after week, month after month, year after year. As a homeschooler, you have control of your children’s education. You can ensure continuity in their curriculum. There are currently 9500 unique words in the UnforgettableWords.com database and over several years your child can learn and remember every single one. By “know”, we at UnforgettableWords.com mean your child will both know the meaning of the word and know how the word is properly used in the English language. “Knowing” words is essential to strong reading comprehension and effective writing. You or your child can choose which words to add to his or her personal vocabulary from more than a dozen lists of words. Included are lists of words for 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders and three additional lists totaling more than 7000 SAT words (the words needed for success in college). These lists include the 500 most commonly appearing words on the SAT, and two larger lists divided into a list of “easier” SAT words and a list of “harder” ones. Linguists estimate that after eliminating words that are too easy, words that are too obscure, and words that advantage children of certain ethnic groups or professions, there are only about 10,000 words that can realistically appear in test questions on the SAT. Imagine the strength of your child’s vocabulary, their ability to understand challenging reading, their ability to write effectively using descriptive words, and their SAT scores if they’ve learned and remembered all 7000 SAT words in the UnforgettableWords.com database!

A Homeschool Vocabulary Program

Your child logs onto the UnforgettableWords.com website on a regular basis (3 to 6 days a week is recommended, vacations and Summer breaks are permissible). The computer uses an artificial intelligence program to analyze your child's memory performance with previous vocabulary words. Based on this prior performance, it then selects the words in your child's personal vocabulary list that need repetition to assure that they are remembered. It includes them in that days lesson. New vocabulary words are added to your child's lesson to bring the total number of exercises to a fixed amount per day. Your child completes a series of exercises for those vocabulary words that teach the words using excerpts from classic books. These exercises simultaneously reinforce the memory of repeated words and improves understanding of their proper usage while broadening your child's vocabulary by introducing new words. The length of the lesson depends on how many words you choose for your child to do each day but typically takes about 20 minutes. An important feature of UnforgettableWords.com is efficiency. The artificial intelligence program doesn't continue to exercise your child on word's they know well and it reminds them of words that they are learning only when they need repetition to prevent forgetting. Because of this efficiency, your child can learn thousands of words each year. Typical workbook based programs used in schools teach less than 300 words a year. Your child will be well ahead of his school-attending peers in the language arts.

Imagine your children when they are eighteen. Imagine them confidently writing an admissions essay to their college of choice that is truly impressive. Imagine them reading the most challenging books by history's greatest authors with complex sentence structures and sophisticated vocabulary - and understanding them completely. Imagine them coming home from the SAT or ACT and telling you it was "easy". Imagine them not only knowing thousands of sophisticated words but knowing how to use them correctly and with eloquence. Imagine your pride as your children excel in their careers and social lives because they speak and write with descriptive, persuasive, powerful words- words they learned as children in your homeschool-and did not forget. UnforgettableWords.com can help make this dream a reality for you and your children.
